The Wait Is Nearly Over...

Over three years have passed since Gary Hooks damaged ligaments in his knee. A tentative comeback attempt 18 months ago ended abruptly as he hobbled FROM the pitch after 12 minutes effort against South Antrim and he hasn't played a game of hockey since.

However, Gary may soon be back in the green colours of East Antrim as those nice people in the N.H.S. have finally given the go-ahead for an operation.

In just 5 weeks time, Gary will be going under the knife to finally rectify the mess in his knee, which might just give him enough to time to be fit for the start of the 2003-2004 season.
