The book was finally launched on 12th October 2002 at Academy Sports Club with the assistance of local journalist, Eddie McIlwaine. The book was described as an interesting and entertaining read for all those closely associated with the Club - and indeed, those in the wider hocker fraternity.
Photographic evidence backing up the story is provided by a wonderful array of images dating FROM 1903 to the present day. The book chronicles the fortunes of the Club FROM the early days of Andrew Burney and HS McMeekin to the modern era. At a mere tenner/copy, the book is a snip.
