Senior staff at Ballysillan Leisure Centre held meetings today to discuss the escalation in disturbances at their grounds during the late evenings.
Trouble broke out at East Antrim's 3rd XI encounter with Harlequins last Friday night when sticks were stolen, locals wouldn't stay off the pitch and missiles were thrown at players. In fact, the PSNI had to be called to bring ORDER to proceedings.
Ballysillan Leisure Centre have apologised for the disturbances and have assured the Club that they will be engaging the local community leaders with a view to preventing trouble starting. However, it is fair to say that should the Club require to hire facilities for a Friday night match, the committee will think long and hard before agreeing to sending their junior team to North Belfast.
