3 When did you start playing for the club and who introduced to the game?
I started playing in my last year at BRA when hockey was reintroduced after a gap of many years. The teacher in charge was Jack Snowball (honest) and a number of pupils also joined East at that time from the Academy team,a trait that has continued to this day.I also knew Wilson Archbold, one of our current vice presidents, who asked me to play and that was how I began my long connection with East.
4 In your long career what is your favourite moment as an East player?
Several instances stand out over the years and it is difficult to pick one out. Those that spring to mind are:
* captaining the 1st XI for the first time
* playing against Ireland as our 75th
anniversary game
* captaining the 2nd XI to a league and cup
double
5 Given your long career in the club what advice do you give to youngsters on and off the pitch?
Get involved with the club and make a difference. On the field ( and in life)if you can't get a win get a draw.
