EAST ANTRIM HOCKEY CLUB SELECT NEW LEADERSHIP TEAM
East Antrim Hockey Club have just completed their centenary season with a host of events behind them. But the season has now been confined to the history books - a new leadership team have just been elected to steer the Club to success in the next centenary.
The big changes have seen a new 1st XI captain and vice-captain - David Caldwell and Neal Hermon. The pair have made their intentions clear already with pre-season training already underway!
Jim Strange will continue in his role as Chairman, with Michael Jackson, Graeme Reid and Stephen Swann taking the Secretary, Match Secretary and Treasurer posts. Stephen Swann will also captain the 2nd XI after a decade of 1st XI hockey and an ever-expanding waiste-line. Gordon Gillespie will take on the 2nd XI vice-captain position.
Ken Skelton has been rewarded for 50 years association with East Antrim - he has been handed the Presidency of the Club.
The Club, however, are still attempting to fill a vacant position - 1st XI coach. So far, a lot of interest has been shown, but a suitable candidate has not been found. Anyone interested in the position should phone Stephen Swann on 078 0316 7731.
