An excellent effort by club members for this years Xmas draw has seen the club make a profit of approximately £600. All members who contributed to this activity should be thanked, most notably Stephen Swann (80 tickets sold) and Neal Hermon (40) and to all the junior memebers who returned their stubbs and money on time, a tremendous effort and an example to us all.
Although most members sold their quota, there are a few who did not. It is expected that those memebers who did not sell their tickets make a donation to the club. It would be most appreciated it if this could be done, either to team captains or Stephen Swann as quickly as possible so that a final figure can be achieved before next weeks committee meeting.
It is not fair that some club members make a real effort when others do not.
Special thanks to those club members that donated prizes. Gary Hooks, a case of wine and Brian Reid, a Hand held computer, worth around £500 donated by Compaq. This meant that all tickets sold were done so at a 100% profit.
Fund raising events such as the Xmas draw are essential for the survival & financial security of the club and need to be supported by all of the club to ensure maximum success. So come on, get the money in and lets get this wrapped up as quickly as possible.
