The 1st XI will face a test ahead of this weekend's Irish Junior Cup fixture against Instonians 2nd XI when they face U.U.J. at Jordanstown on Thursday evening.
The 6:30pm start is part of U.U.J.'s preparations for the inter-varsity series but will also provide Alan Burgess some well-timed practice ahead of the big Cup clash.
Instonians 2nds have already earmarked the Irish Junior Cup as a trophy they want to win this year and will, no doubt, be overwhelming favourites for progression to the 2nd round. However, the recent coaching sessions that the Green Machine have had will hopefully provide them with the confidence to tackle the Inst Old Boys in a constructive fashion.
