Ulster Branch Umpires situation is at crisis point. If we had have been fielding a team this Saturday, we would not have had umpires. In fact this weekend no Senior 2 or Junior 1 fixtures will be umpired and indeed one Senior 1 fixture won't be umpired.
The Club should be prepared as this is unlikely to be the last time this happens, unless the problem is solved.
Indeed, the Club will look internally to provide our 1st XI with some umpire support each week rather than find ourselves in situations where we are required to take a player off to umpire.
