The thirds went into Saturday with 12 available players all confirmed to play, but when some dont turn up with out reason they let the team down. At 12:45 fifth teen minutes before pass back the thirds only had six players on the pitch warming up. But the players that did not turn up without at least letting me not will not play again until they apologise to each and every one of the team mates.

Right let’s get to the game! With only ten players we dominated the majority of the match. As we only had ten it forced to pass and move which we did brilliantly this led to the first goal and easy tap in by Bannon at good passing and an assist by Blair junior. Saintfield never really trouble us and got there goal against the run of play mid way through the second half.

Then to extra time! We dominated this as well, creating chances in the first half but did not capitalise. In the second have we pinned them back in there own twenty five and had a few good chances. The best of which fell to me after beating two defenders just on the left side of the circle a low reverse skimmed the outside of the post and if it had of gone in it would have led to a deserved led and victory but it didn’t and it went to flicks!

Well I am not going to mention who missed just thank the people who had the courage to stand forward and take a flick.

A hard fought which we deserved to win but just lost narrowly the extra man told in the end!
