East players new that they were in for a tough match when Garvey turned up with a team boasting numerous past players of Ulster not to mention the small matter of a olympic gold medalist aswell.With East missing a couple of players the main objective was to hang in as long as we could and not to embarrass ourselves against a very good team.As usual East started the game very well,we were creating numerous chances and winning tackles.East took the lead when Alan Burgess ran riot up the pitch and hit a good low shot through a crowded circle into the bottom corner.After scoring East went off the boil a bit,Garvey started to get more of the ball, created numerous chances and scored their equalizer thanks to poor marking from the East players.East regrouped and scored another when Leon Currie scored a with a great deflection that hit the back of the net like a bullet.Still celebrating from scoring East lost their concentration and Garvey walked up the pitch and scored within a minute of the restart.East however suffered from the same play that has plagued us all year in the second half.Despite dominating 70% of the game in the second half East conceded two more goals without reply.As a team we fail to be able to concentrate and cut out stupid silly mistakes.If we our going to be serious contenders for senior 2 in the coming years this will have to change.East resume league business next saturday where we will get back to our winning ways.
