What an effort!

A strong looking Garvey team and a weak first half performance from East was only compensated for by the fact that the score was 0-0 after 35 minutes. Garvey's inept front line was completely out of balance with the rest of their team.

A rollicking at half-time with a certain amount of common sense seemed to do the trick as the second half was a more even affair. Garvey still had plenty of possession, but it was East Antrim's counter-attacking play which looked more likely to produce a goal. And it did... Aaron Young has a knack of scoring against Garvey and he chipped in with another this evening.

All in all, the most satisfying result of the season bearing in mind the calibre of opposition.

The result means we leapfrog Garvey in the league and another 2 points next week against Larne would propel us closer to the leading pack.
