By Stephen Swann OK... I only saw the second half, but I can at least comment on that. To see Parkview reduced to relying on Paul Harvey's short corners (which are good, to be honest) was quite a surprise. For a team that one would think would be challenging for promotion and has reached the final of the Linden Cup, they offered poor opposition on the day. One can only imagine the colour of the air in the Parkview dressing room after the match. When Alan Burgess picked up the ball and started running at the Parkview defence, you could sense the nervousness from the men in red. OK... Alan is a skillful dribbler. What was even more surprising was to see the Parkview defence wobble at the sight of other "Green Machine" players. The 4-3 scoreline was quite flattering for Parkview. At 4-1, chance upon chance fell to East Antrim and two late harvey specials did introduce tension to the closing minutes which was needless. But even if Parkview had've got a "very" late equaliser, they would always have left the field knowing that they had been turned over. Without taking anything away from a good East Antrim performance, it is Parkview that will be thinking seriously about their performance. One final comment... Soupy Campbell's umpiring was as good as I have seen at that level for a very long time. Disciplined, decisive and I don't remember a bad call! Well done all concerned.
