With the rain coming down and the pitch flooding both captains agreed that the match should start as soon as possible rather than the allocated time of 1pm.East started the brighter creating numerous chances and got their rewards after a well taken goal by Leon Currie coming in from the back post.With the rain refusing to stop and the pitch getting worse in the first half East knew they would have to battle, and battle they did.With East 1-0 up at half time they new that the game was still on.East play in the 2nd half was at times superb.They kept their concentration at the back resulting in their first clean sheet of the season.East scord two more goals in the 2nd half one from Jonathan Porter after great work from James Greer and the third which can only be described as a piece of genius by Leon Currie when he somehow managed to deflect the ball over/around the outcoming keeper.With hard games coming up in the next 3 weeks East will have to be prepared and ready to keep doing what we have been doing over the last few weeks.thanks to the 2nds who came to watch aswell as Angela,Gail,Gemma and Joanne(the owls).
