By Stuart Campbell A hard fought draw in which either team could have scored a hatfull. Garvey had loads of possession but with little effect, on the other hand East had little possession but used it wisely. Only excellent goalkeeping and last ditch defending kept Garvey at bay. Moffett & Tumlinson were superb in defence as was Hutton in nets. Midfield was strong and the forwards worked tirelessly, M. McKenna in particular took on the whole Garvey defence and won. A great team performance against the best club in the country, led by sweeper extrodinaire J. Baker.
